About Atlas Repro Paperwork

Who is Atlas Repro Paperwork?

Atlas Repro Paperwork is actually a one-person business, based in the Netherlands. When I, Patrick van der Vegt, started in 1995 with re-enactment as a hobby, I also started making some bits and pieces of paperwork just for myself. I just didn’t want to ruin my original paperwork by using it and showing it to the public.

In 2000 I met Paul Woodadge (Polarbear Enterprices) at the Chatham Navydays and when he showed me his paperwork, my interest in making Paperwork grew. Over the years I started to collect 1940s paperwork and started making more paperwork for myself and a couple of friends.

In 2003 I started the Yahoo Group WW2 Repro Paperwork, to discuss all about making reproduction paperwork and sharing information.

Film props

After a couple of years the demand for more paperwork slowly grew. Even people within the film industry got interested in my work too. That resulted into making paperwork film-props for the BBC, Discovery Channel, the Paul Verhoeven film “Black Book” (Zwartboek – 2005) and some more. For “Black Book” I made a lot of ration labels and other paperwork, many of which you can find in the shop. Unfortunately after that, making repro paperwork on a greater scale wasn’t possible, because of other time consuming work and family life.

To me it was more or less a hobby to make this kind of paperwork. I could combine my profession as a Graphic Designer / Packaging Artworker with my hobby re-enactment / Living history. Over the years lot’s of fellow re-enactors told me to do more with my reproduction paperwork. Paul Woodadge had stopped making his paperwork and the demand grew. They said that my paperwork is of high quality and that I could make a business out of it. This because there are not many people making reproduction paperwork of high quality.

Paperwork business

In march 2011 I decided to make a Facebook Page, which I called Atlas Repro Paperwork. This was the beginning of my small Paperwork business. But it took me a year to really start posting on that page and reaching out to friends on facebook. In October 2012 I started with this website. If you would like to link to my website from your own website, or click on the facebook like button to tell your friends about Atlas Repro Paperwork, I would be very grateful.
